My Favorite Daily Devotionals & Christian Books

I like to start my day in Gods word, accompanied with a daily devotional reading for encouragement and wisdom to keep my focus on what’s really true and important in my life.

I share a lot of scripture, as well as books that have brought me so much wisdom, a new perspective, and guidance through hard times. I wanted to share a few of my favorites that I have read and re-read through different seasons of my life over the past ten years…walking through tragedy, death, grief, trials, growth, joy, new life, transition and everywhere in between.

Daily Devotionals

Jesus Calling” is one of my favorite daily devotionals. I have read this many times over the years! It walks you through the entire year, with quick encouragement & a few versus from the Bible to read each day. It’s small & perfect to take on the go in your purse/bag, so set on your bedside table. I love gifting this pocket sized devotional for really anyone!

“The Songs Of Jesus” by Timothy Keller takes you through every verse of the book of Palms in 365 days. I love what Keller says about the importance of Psalms, “We are not simply to read psalms; we are to be immersed in them so that they profoundly shape how we relate to God.” He poses a lot go good questions and points invites you to pray through, meditate on, and ask God to speak into what you are personally facing that Day.

“Always Enough, Never Too Much” by Jess Connolly & Haley Morgan. This book contains 100 devotionals to help you to quit comparing, stop hiding, and start living wild and free. I love each devotional has scripture than a personal refection by one of the authors to share encouragement, wisdom and real life examples that they have walked through and found victory.

Books I love that have brought so much life, wisdom & encouragement

Preach To Yourself” by Haley Morgan

Famous in Heaven And At Home” by Michelle Myers

My “The Message” Version of the Bible

Women of the Word” & “In His Image” both by Jen Wilkin

“Calm My Anxious Heart” by Linda Dillow

I hope these daily devotional ideas and books to add to your reading list will help comfort you in these hard and trying times, lead you closer to God, and speak truth and wisdom into your life!
