American Eagle Try-On Session

Recently I went into American Eagle to scope out they’re new denim/shorts for spring. I found a few great pieces I think are super versatile, to add to your spring wardrobe….featuring a new denim style, mom appropriate shorts, the perfect maxi dress for Spring Break and beyond, & a light weight sweater you will want to live in season long!

So I did a little try-on session to share my finds with you…

These cropped jeans are AMAZING! I love the minimal distressing at the hem line, and the flattering high waisted fit. I am wearing my usual size (4 regular), they fit true to size, with a some stretch. They also come in petite & tall sizes. I am loving the cropped denim trends for Spring/summer.

Distressed Bermuda shorts are a great option as “mom friendly” shorts for summer! They are slimming & flattering on everyone…I like the distressing of these for a little edge! I sized up in these to a 6 in these, for a looser fit (they are a true denim with no stretch).

These high waist “mom shorts” (yes they are actually called mom shorts!) are super flattering & a great pair of shorts to add to your Spring capsule wardrobe! I love the darker wash on these as they can be easily dressed up or down. Wear them cuffed like I have them, or un-roll them for even more length. I sized up to a size 6 in these (for a loose fit, since these don’t have any stretch)

This maxi dress is perfect for an upcoming sprig break trip, or for the pool or BBQ this summer! I love the bell sleeve detail, and the sexy slit in the front! I am wearing a size medium, I would say it runs true to size…(I sized up for the length). I did find out this dress comes in petite & tall sizes as well online (for my shorter, or tall friends!) I am 5’10” and could def do the small tall size (they didn’t have that option in-store). This dress would also be a great option for all my pregnant or nursing friends!

This is a great, light weight, spring sweater.…I love the cropped, loose fit! Pair it with high waist cropped jeans and sneakers or booties for an easy casual look. I like to do the little front tuck with this style sweater to give me a little shape. This sweater comes in 5 different colors ( I am wearing the taupe color in a size medium).
